Another one of Kendall Talbot's romantic adventure stories. This one with a couple of different strings to its bow. Full of excitement, wonderful evocative imagery and a few plot twists and turns as well.
An example: ‘Four layers of clothing did little to stop the frigid air from seeping into her bones. It was like liquid mercury, leaching in, aching. Especially the bones she’d broken. They seemed to have their own gauges for cold and warm.’
Enough to keep everybody interested, excited and happily engaged in both the love story and the adventure. Elements of your basic thriller as well. It was well done. Loved it.
